Why not try something different this summer and let your spirit sing at Crawford Lake Conservation Area? Join us on Friday, August 17 or Saturday, August 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. as Crawford Lake welcomes you to our annual Sprit Sings event, a magical evening of traditional First Nations teachings, games and foods.
Imagine sipping hemlock tea around a campfire as the moon and stars appear above the longhouses of our reconstructed 15th century Iroquoian village. A tasting of traditional Iroquoian foods served by Crawford Lake staff are perfect preparation for a session of traditional games that will challenge and delight visitors of all ages.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn many secrets of the forest as they participate in a guided evening hike. Finally, we will take visitors back in time as they are given the opportunity to explore the longhouse at night and listen to stories and teachings around the fire.
Pre-registration is required for this special event and space is limited so call early. The ticket price of $24 for adults and $15 for children (ages 8-14 years) and seniors includes admission to the park for the day as well as all event activities. NOTE: this event is not recommended for children under the age of 8.
